A little over a year ago we were concerned because Carrie wasn't talking as much as we thought she should. We had her tested, and sure enough... she tested really low for speech expression. Unfortunately she tested just barely above the level to qualify for the early learning center that could work with her on her speech. We did what we could with her on her own. I was also able to get her into an early intervention program, and about 6 months later she started attending a small preschool. She was tested again last fall, and this time tested in the 90th percentile. Since that time I have seen her continue to learn and grow even more, and we no longer have those concerns for her. I am thankful for programs and people who are willing to teach my kids!!
Carrie has loved PRESCHOOL and the friends that she made there. It was only her and a few other kids, but it was just right for her. She has another year of preschool ahead of her, but she will be attending a different school with more kids. I think this was the perfect stepping stone she needed to gain some confidence and break out of her shell. Carrie is such a fun, spunky little girl, and is always making us laugh. We love her so much, and am so proud of the way she is growing, changing, and learning new things!
Gift idea I got from pinterest...
Carrie helped me put it together, and she couldn't wait to give it to her teacher!
