...This little boy wanted marsh mellows for breakfast. He has started going through the pantry and fridge regularly and making me crazy! (He sure is cute though!) Time for some locks!!...
 ...Lunch time!! I love that I get to babysit my sweet nephew. He is such a happy and easy going baby, and my kids adore him!...
 ...this little man only falls asleep in the car when he is completely exhausted!...
...Last night Andrew had his first ever basketball game. He did great!! Excited to see him grow in this. He played soccer for a few years, but this year he wanted to try something different. I have been so proud of my kids for being willing to try new things this year... that's not always easy! I feel so lucky to have kids that are good examples to me to put yourself out there. Since the weather this December has been so mild Andrew has been able to still spend time in the yard practicing...
...TRUTH...
 ...We had the opportunity to go to Temple Square to see the Christmas lights with our good friends (the Jewkes and Farrer families). It was such a fun night!! (Bottom picture: all of our kids sitting together on the front row, minus Matthew).
When we got to the top of the visitor's center and were looking at the statue of Christ, Kevin asked Matthew "Do you know who that is?" Matthew quickly responded "Grandpa!" We all had a good laugh :) ...
...Andrew, Aimee, Lilly, Grace, Carrie, Jacob, Harrison, and Tate...
 ...Playing games together. Simple moments like these are what make my heart happy. I love being a mom!!...
 ...The reason for the season. I am so very thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ, today and always!...
I designed this as a gift for all the kids in primary. It was printed and made into an ornament. It went along with the new short video put out by the church "He is the Gift." I have watched the video several times throughout the season... amazing how such a powerful message and spirit can be shared in a 2 minute video!!
...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!...
2014 was a doozy!! I have learned a lot, and gained a stronger testimony and love for my family. There were definitely some hard days, but there were also a lot of great days. Our family has been blessed with many small miracles. This year has been a reminder to me that Heavenly Father is aware of me and my family, He answers prayers, and it is only through Him that our hearts can be softened and changed.
Hoping the new year brings happiness, healing, and peace to many friends and family.

{Christmas!!}

We had a great Christmas!! We were able to spend some much needed time together as a family, as well as with extended family throughout the month!! We love our families very much, and are thankful that we are so close with them.

{christmas performances}

The elementary school the kids go to offers a school choir. When they announced they were going to start practicing for a Christmas show Carrie decided she wanted to try it out. She has always loved music, loves to sing, so this was perfect for her. They put on "Christmas on Candy-Cane Lane", and Carrie was given the part of a "red candy cane." She played her part well. ;) She was very animated when she sang the songs, and we loved having the opportunity to watch her perform!! {December 3, 2014}

Carrie has wanted to take dance classes for a long time, and we finally got her in a class this year. She has LOVED it. We are lucky to have connections to a studio with great teachers and high standards. We have not been disappointed. It has been fun watching her try something new, find something she likes, and make new friends. We were so excited to go to her winter dance recital to see her hard work pay off. Everyone did a GREAT job, and we loved watching our girl up on the big stage!!! ;) {December 13, 2014}

{someone to watch over me}

I was going through some old pictures, and adding some things to the blog that had been missed. As I was looking at pictures from Easter, I came across this picture...
Do you see Roni in the top right corner there?! It has been incredibly hard since her passing. Not a day goes by that she isn't thought of by many, and missed more than words could ever say. I believe she is still watching over her kids and grand kids in her quiet way, just like she always has, just like it shows in this picture.
