...Thursday is garbage day. The highlight for this boy's day is watching the garbage truck come down the street!! He usually watches out the window long after the truck is gone...

 ...Told the kids this morning if they did their homework right after school (and no complaining) we could play a game. Monopoly is what they chose!...

{LDS Fest}

A good friend of mine won a couple of tickets to LDS Fest and invited me to go with her. It was in Richfield, which is about a 3 hour drive from where we live. We didn't know anything about LDS Fest but when we looked it up online and saw who would be performing we decided it would be worth the drive and fun to turn it into a girls weekend.

Some of my favorite artists were there: Hilary Weeks, Sandra Turley, Kurt Bestor, and Mercy River. We also got to listen to John Bytheway.

It was in a fairly small place, so we had amazing seats. We sat right next to Hilary Weeks until she performed. My friend Austin won the tickets on facebook from Sandra Turley, so Hilary Weeks took us back to meet Sandra. After Sandra performed she came and sat on the other side of us with Kurt Bestor. After Mercy River performed the sat behind us. We were SURROUNDED by these amazingly talented people!! We had the opportunity to meet, chat, and take pictures with each one of them. Such an AMAZING, and INSPIRING night.

We had the opportunity to chat with her a few different times, and even with her husband and 2 of her daughters. Such a cool thing!
...with Mercy River...
I first learned of these talented ladies when I attended Time Out For Women, and I love them!
Austin and I stayed the night at a Best Western since it was late after the event and we had such a long drive home. Thankful for great friends. Thankful for our chats. Thankful for the spirit that was there with us at the event, and that I had the opportunity to be there and meet some pretty cool people. It was a much needed get away, and I came home feeling refreshed and uplifted!!!
