 ...I wish the newborn stage lasted a little longer, but instead it feels like with each baby the grow and change faster and faster. Trying to soak it up while I can!! (7.6.2016)...
 ...He has a hard life. He starts every day with a good morning nap. Sometimes it makes me jealous, haha!!...
 ...You can't not feel happy when you see a baby smile...
 ...I caught this boy at 5:00 this morning reading (who knows how long he had already been awake). Glad to see he is making up for the lack of sleep!!...
 ...Carrie had to try really hard to keep her eyes open when the flash on the camera went on. We had a fun family night at our local drive-in movie theater last night!...
 ...he works out...
 ...Happy anniversary, to us!!!...
 ...first day of swimming lessons!...
 ...It has been so hot, so we tend to stay inside during the day, and play outside in the evening. I love this picture because each kid is doing something different while we all hang out together...
 ...this sums up our day pretty well...

 ...How Joshua feels about swimming lessons the last 2 weeks...
 ...And that's a wrap! Another successful session of swimming lessons is in the books. It has been fun watching them improve over the years!...
 ...chopping down trees in the backyard. There goes #1...
 ...and number 2...
 ...I just can't resist a sleeping baby!!...
...Snuggling my baby boy...
 ...Yesterday was the 2 year mark of my mother-in-laws passing. That was a very difficult time, and there were things that happened during that time that changed my life in so many ways.. it is sometimes painful to look back on. However, I am SO very thankful for Roni, and know I am a better person having known her. I am thankful for my Savior who made it possible for families to be together forever (7.31.2016)...

{Bee's Game}

 ...Tonight we were able to go to a Bee's baseball game courtesy of Kevin's work. We got to stay in a suite, have great seats, dinner and treats. The kids were in heaven!! We also got to meet Bumble the Bee's mascot!! It was a fun night, and it doesn't hurt that they won! ;)...

{Andrew is ELEVEN!!}

I have an ELEVEN year old?!? How did this happen?! I knew when I had kids it was inevitable that they would grow up. What I didn't realize is that when people tell you "Enjoy this time, it goes by too fast," that it is actually true!! As I get older, and my kids get older, it seems that time just keeps speeding up. I am doing my best to enjoy each age and stage of my kids.

What I love about Andrew:
*he is athletic! I have watched him play soccer, basketball, swim, ride bikes/scooters, roller blade, and run. I don't know what the future holds for Andrew, but I wouldn't be surprised if sports were somehow involved
*he loves to read
*he is smart
*he loves scouting
*he likes to play games as a family
*he gets excited about movie night, and helps me decide what we should watch
*he is protective of his younger siblings
*he helps with chores around the house
*teaching moments, and watching his testimony grow
*that he is MINE!

...Grandpa Carpenter happened to be in town, and stopped by to wish a Happy Birthday to Andrew before heading back home to New Mexico. Andrew was thrilled to see him!!...

We got home from a family vacation on Andrew's birthday. We decided to go swimming, and Jen came over with Emma and Lamont to join us. Afterwards we headed home for presents, dinner, cake and ice cream.

...A couple of weeks after his birthday grandma and grandpa came over, and gave him a new bed and nightstand...

{Allen Family Vacation}

We had the opportunity to stay in a cabin up Big Cottonwood family with my entire family. We had a lot of fun!!
...Hanging out by the fire pit...
 ...a walk around Silver Lake with grandma and grandpa Allen and cousins...
 ...Happy Independence Day!!...
...everyone was headed off to go on a hike. Matthew was not in a good mood, so Kevin and I decided to skip the hike and take Matthew (and Joshua) for another walk around Silver Lake. Once we got there it was just what he needed. Sometimes having all the cousins together can be exhausting, and I think he just needed a break from that. He was as pleasant as could be, and we had a nice quiet afternoon together...
 ...from the hike everyone else went on...
...a major highlight and favorite past time for the kids, the hot tub!...
...relaxing and watching Zootopia...
 ...at Guardsman Pass...
