 ...Had such a fun night at "Beauty and the Beast" with my sweet girl!!! Hale Center Theatre always does such a great job. My parents couldn't use their tickets, so they gave them to us. We didn't know until we got there that we had front row seats!! Loved it. Thanks mom and dad!!...

{joshua wallace: cute baby}

Man oh man, I can't even begin to express in words how much this baby means to our family!! He has brought so much love and joy into our home.. more than we could have ever known. He is such a calm, easy-going and happy baby.
Not a day goes by that I am not thankful to my Heavenly Father for sending this sweet boy to our family when we needed him the most. He was a special answer to prayer, and a constant reminder to me that our Heavenly Father knows and loves each one of his children.

{matthew charles: preschool}

Matthew is in preschool this year with Miss Pateresa. He was so excited to go on the first day because he knew she had a fun train table and trains to play with. Sure enough, that is the first thing he did when he got there. :)
Matthew has so much personality, and is always saying funny things that make us all laugh. He will do just about anything to make you laugh, and if you do laugh you better believe he will be doing that thing over and over again and cracking himself up!! I love his laugh!

Every day before the kids leave to go to school he has to give them each a hug and kiss. He also likes to stand at the front door waving and saying "good-bye!" over and over again until he can no longer see them. Matthew loves stories, trains, cars, and to be outside riding his bike or scooter. He loves to be right in the middle of things, and often will wiggle his way right in the middle of Kevin and I if we are sitting together. He is so much fun, and I feel blessed to be able to be home and spend my days with him!!
Matthew is officially left-handed, and is working hard to write his name. He is one smart cookie, and I am excited for the fun year he has ahead!

{carrie anne: third grade}

Carrie is in THIRD grade this year!! Her teacher is Mrs. Gillie, and she really likes her.
Carrie is a peacemaker in our home. She likes everyone to be happy, and tries to help everyone get along. She is an amazing older sister to her younger brothers, and Andrew is her best friend. She loves to be together as a family, and is good at helping us plan time to be together. She is such a special and important part of our family!!

I am excited and proud of Carrie for trying something new this year: tumbling. She has LOVED it so far, and is always doing cartwheels. It makes me happy to see her learning a new skill. I love seeing the confidence she has gained in the short time she has been going. It was especially exciting when she found out her very good friend Brylee Gumbrecht would be in her tumbling class with her!
I love that Carrie tries to make good choices. She makes friends easily because she is kind. She is a hard worker, and has become a very good reader, writer, and artist. She has a contagious giggle, and loves to be silly!! She loves to tell jokes and make others laugh.

Thankful for my girl, and the example she is to me!

{andrew jon: sixth grade}

I can hardly believe I have a SIXTH grader!!! It kinda sorta makes me feel anxious and nervous when I think about this being his last year in elementary school, and next year he will be off to middle school. Thankful that we have another year before that happens. :)
Andrew is such an awesome boy. He is strong-willed, and when I think about that, sometimes I only think about the negative aspects (it can be difficult parenting a strong-willed child!). However, his strong-will helps him to do things that he wouldn't otherwise do. I have seen him try new things, and do well with it. When he puts his mind on doing something, his determination is astounding.

I have been proud of my boy as I have watched him grow and mature. In just the last couple of months I have watched him become more responsible in taking care of his things (he has been keeping his room clean without me asking!), and also for his various responsibilities (doing homework, chores, and practicing piano without complaining).

He may tease his siblings, but he also adores them and is very protective of them. I love watching him with Joshua especially... Joshua brings out a softer and sweeter side of Andrew that we don't always get too see. It has been such a joy to see that!

I know that Andrew is capable of great things, and I am excited to see what the future holds for him. I hope he has a wonderful year!!

{Allen Family Pictures}

Since my grandparents have passed away, the home that they owned had to be sold. Before the home was turned over to the new owner my mom wanted to have some family pictures taken there in their yard. Some were taken in the front yard, and others in the back yard. Their home is on a hill, and their back yard has such a beautiful view.

...Jen, Ron Emma, and Lamont...
...Brian, Kara, Kalynn, Audrey, Enoch, Elyse, and Peter...
